Mohamed Yousuf Naghi-Hyundai

In 1991, for similar reasons to BMW, namely the Group's dynamism and financial strength, and its strong marketing and sales capabilities, Hyundai selected Mohammed Yousuf Naghi to represent its cars & light commercial vehicles in the Western Region of Saudi Arabia.

The Hyundai Division of Mohammed Yousuf Naghi Motors developed an aggressive marketing strategy to highlight the advantages of Hyundai in a market previously dominated by Japanese competition.

Hyundai was re-launched as a reliable, well-priced alternative, supported by a higher level of service than its competitors.

The division also ensured that sub-dealers and service centres were close-by, if their customers needed them, and offered free membership of a roadside assistance club to all Hyundai buyers. This strategy worked, and Hyundai in the first few years more than trebled its market share. Today Hyundai is firmly established in the Saudi market as a cost effective and well designed motor vehicle and is rapidly making inroads into the Japanese market share.

Hyundai honoured Mohammed Yousuf Naghi with the best dealership performance in the Middle East in 1994, and in 1995, the 'Distributor of the Year Award'. Since then, the division has been further entrusted with appointing its own network of sub-dealers in the region.
