Zawaq Foods (which means 'good taste' in Arabic) is a part of the Cigalah Group and was established in 1994. This being the initial phase of a planned Group-owned industrial complex of 114,000 sq.m. on the outskirts of Jeddah adjacent to the main Makkah highway. This first factory unit on the site for Zawaq Foods was opened in late 1996 and is equipped with state-of-the-art production line facilities supplied by major companies from the U.S., U.K., and Holland, for the production of snack foods and packing of both own and international brand foodstuffs.
Zawaq Foods since its inception has prided itself on the hygiene of its factory and the finite quality and consistency of the products it produces.
Working in unison with companies in Europe and Asia, Zawaq Foods imports the best raw materials and ingredients to ensure that the final product meets the highest standards for taste and quality.
The product portfolio of Zawaq is being continually extended and ranges from Potato Chips to Corn Snacks and Filled Biscuits to Cereal and Oat products. As well as own and Naghi Group brands, Zawaq Foods can offer outside client’s full production facilities for:
- Potato Chip and Corn Snack Brands
- Filled Biscuit type Products
- Cooking and Breakfast Cereals
- Co-Packing facilities for a range of Food Products
These can be either own label or production of international brands and Zawaq Foods prides itself on its Reputation for Quality.
Apart from just production, the company is proud of its innovation and product development, which again is often carried out in conjunction with principals and suppliers. Additionally, Zawaq is able to call on the marketing, product development and even packaging development expertise held within the main Naghi Group.
